Are IT departments a breed apart?
What/who do you think their historical counterparts were, if they had any, or are they a modern day phenomena? Sugestions sane and bizarre welcome!
We definitely are a breed apart. When you say "I work in IT" you almost always get blank looks and then someone asks "So could you explain me what you IT people do exactly do?".
I wish I could.. I have not been able to explain it to my mother - and I've been working in IT for almost 20 years!
