What is the average cost of a pet quality Russian Blue kitten?
Any self-righteous comments about rescuing a cat instead will be reported. I have adopted many homeless cats, thank you very much. Pure-bred cats need love just as much as any other.
Ocimom - I know! The whole "any grey cat" thing is annoying. I've already contacted a few breeders from the CFA list and waiting to hear back. Unfortunately no one lists prices on their website. 
My first purebred show cat was a Russian Blue. Pet quality RB's would probably cost about $600+ for a kitten. But you can also adopt a young retired show/breeding cat for less from a reputable breeder.
Don't listen to those saying "find one in a shelter". There are not any purebred RB's in shelters - I've looked on Petfinder and all the ones there that claim to be RB's are far from it! A lot of shelters (and people) assume that any grey cat is a RB!
